Bonjour! I am in Chiang Mai for 5 days with my sister. We took a little travel on her school break. This time I have tried to make a video and this is the first time for doing all by myself. It will not be so good but I have tried my best.
Pattaya to Chiang Mai
My sister came to join me in Pattaya on the 1st of October, 2 days before our Chiang Mai trip. So, the little trip starts in Pattaya. We booked 2 tickets from Pattaya to Chiang Mai by Nakhonchai Air. a bus company. The bus leaves Pattaya at 7:30 p.m. and arrived at Chaing Mai terminal at 6:30 a.m. in the morning. We slept on the bus for 11 hours, it’s not so bad.
Transport in Chiang Mai
According to a bad new about public transport in Chiang Mai lately, I don’t feel comfortable to travel with a well-known public transport. So, I did my research lol about Transport in Chiang Mai. There is a Citybus which seem more comfortable for me, they have the exact route and price. So, we took the Citybus to the hotel.
Hotel near Ta Phae Gate
I have no idea which route the bus is going to take but they go to Ta Phae Gate. I see in Google Map, it’s not for form the hotel. Luckily, this bus passes our hotel on Ta Phae Road. We get off near the Gate and walk back to Ta Phae Soi 5. It is Chiang Mai Thai House. It’s a nice place, nice design, and nice swimming pool. We came too early for check in but lucky, the room was empty. After we get the room and shower. Then, we went out to visit the city.
The journey begins at Ta Phae Gate which is near the hotel. We took pictures for a while and heading to have lunch. We walked around 18 mins to a famous local food, Jae Dang. It was good at the fair price. Then we heading to the temple, Wat Srisupan where they have a stunning Silver Ubosot.
The Silver Ubosot
The Silver Ubosot is the very stunning Ubosot made of silver, as you see in the picture. This is very beautiful and marvelous. All are made from silver, I guess they are all made by hand. This is so many tiny details on the pieces. Form outside, I can see the Buddha statue but I didn’t see any other details. I couldn’t enter because women are not allowed to get inside this Ubosot. They write on the big sign in front of the Silver Ubosot, there are many fetishes bullied beneath. I don’t know what is it but I do respect.
We back to our hotel to take a break after long night travel and super hot walking. We left again after 4 p.m. for dinner. I explained all in the video which not sure when will be ready to watch, lol. Anyway, if the phone accident does not count. TT, the first day in Chiang Mai is very nice. So, good night guys!
Au revoir & see you tomorrow
